Allotment Strategies Masterclass

1. Eligibility Criteria for Shareholder Quota

To qualify for the shareholder reservation quota:
  • You must hold at least 1 equity share of the listed parent company in your demat account on the official Record Date.
  • The demat account PAN must match the PAN used for the IPO ASBA application.

  • 2. Can You Bid in Multiple Categories?

Yes. SEBI circulars explicitly permit an investor to bid under:
  • Retail Individual Category (up to ₹2 Lakh)
  • Shareholder Category (up to ₹2 Lakh as retail or > ₹2 Lakh as HNI)
  • This unique dual-bidding structure significantly improves your chances of receiving at least one lot in high-demand IPOs.
